London in February, the days are short and the temperatures are low. It can rain quite a bit now and then, but luckily there is plenty to do in London even on a rainy day. There are also far fewer tourists in the month of February than in the busy summer months. And fewer tourists means lower hotel prices.

BAFTA awards

The BAFTAs awards are awarded every year in February in London. The BAFTAs are the most important British film awards. In recent years these have been awarded in the Royal Albert Hall, but from 2023 the iconic Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank will be the place where the red carpet will be rolled out. If you want to spot a celebrity, this is the place to be.

from mid-January to early March, the banks of the Thames are spectacularly illuminated. There are 8 beautiful light works of art to admire inside and outside the Powerstation, including the eternal sundown made of 140 LED tubes.
The festival is free to visit and brings some light in the cold winter months.
after admiring the beautiful lighting, some shopping can be done at the Battersea Power Station which has been converted into a great shopping and leisure area.
