Harrods, the most famous department store in the world

near Hyde Park, in the Knightsbridge district, is the world-famous Harrods department store situated. Very popular with tourists and Londoners alike, this is a must-visit place when visiting London.

Harrods was founded as a supermarket in 1849 by Henry Charles Harrod. Today, the immense building houses more than 300 companies, 20 restaurants, a bank and a beauty salon.

When you enter through the glass doors, manned by doormen in the famous green coats, you step into an incredible world where everything is for sale. Harrods is no less than 7 floors high and each floor has its own specialities.

Here you will find wines and drinks, the Harrods bookshop and flowers and cards

ground floor

watches, jewellery, a beauty salon and the Food Hall, here you will find products not sold anywhere else in London. watch the video for an impression

first floor

the first floor is entirely devoted to women’s clothing. At Superbrands you will find some of the biggest names in the industry: Chanel, Prada and Alexander McQueen

second floor

the second floor is reserved for men’s clothing. Here too there is a Superbrands section with brands such as Dior, Tom Ford and Burberry

third floor

the third floor is for interior lovers. Here you will find table decorations, bedding, lighting and much more

fourth floor

on the fourth floor there is a bit of everything. You will find children’s clothing, but also toys. there is also a Wellness Clinic here

fifth floor

a Hair and Beauty Salon can be found on the fifth floor. Shoes are also central here, with of course all well-known brands such as Prada and Balenciaga. The technology with the latest gadgets from Apple and Samsung is also located on this floor.

sixth floor

the sixth floor is all about beauty. Here you will find, among other things, the Salon de Parfums, with all kinds of wonderful scents. All well-known perfume brands are of course present here: Henry Jacques, Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie and many more.
