Downingstreet 10

the door at 10 Downing Street is probably the most famous door in London. It is the door that provides access to the government residence of the Prime Minister of Great Britain. Many world leaders have been photographed in front of this door and if something is reported by the Prime Minister it is almost always from this spot.

Unfortunately you can’t just walk down Downing Street and stop at the door of nr 10 to take a nice picture. The best way to take a picture of the famous door is at the memorial to the women of World War II, located on Whitehall. Here you can see the door of 10 Downing Street from a distance. What you will also see is a group of heavily armed cops.

Another possibility is to drive through the street in a double-decker bus, bus line 11 runs through Downing Street. The door cannot be seen from the bus, but you can see the security gates and the agents with machine guns.

how do you get there?
