the London Dungeon, located on the South Bank, is a trip into the scary history of London. A walk-through experience with entertaining actors in immersive sets teaches you about history in a frighteningly funny way.
The trip begins with a medieval lift that takes you down in the dungeon. During the 90 minutes tour you’ll meet Fleet Street barber Sweeney Todd, investigate Jack the Ripper’s mysterious identity, see Mrs. Lovett’s infamous pie shop and uncover the torture chamber’s deadly secrets along the way. You’ll also meet Guy Fawkes, the man that tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. He was sentenced to death and hanged, drawn and quartered.
tyrant boat ride
in the Tyrant Boat Ride you get a taste of Henry VIII’s wrath with an altogether darker and scarier experience. The Jester has sentenced you to death for conspiring with Anne Boleyn! As traitors, you’ll accompany her along the Thames to The Tower of London, here you’ll meet your fate. During this ride you’ll discover the cruelness of Henry VIII and what happened to Anne Boleyn and her fellow conspirators.
In total there are 19 liveshows in the Dungeon and the tales are mostly about London’s sometimes gruesome history. It’s definetely not for the faint of hearted. But when you’re in for an adrenaline rush it’s perfect.
